Provides financial assistance to low-income households in Barrie, to help offset water/wastewater bill costs

Successful applicants will be credited a portion of their water/wastewater bill back to them.
credit provided will not exceed 40% of the total water/wastewater bill to a maximum of $60 per billing cycle

Hours	Mon-Fri 8:30 am-4:30 pm
Areas Served	Barrie
Eligibility	Permanent, full-time principal resident with a current City of Barrie residential water and wastewater billing account. The account must be in the applicants name. The application pertains to a principal residence that the applicant either owns or rents. A principal residence is defined as the main location where the applicant lives. Number of people living at the residence and Household income before tax 1 - $ 29,380 2 - $ 36,576 3 - $ 44,966 4 - $ 54,594 5 - $ 61,290 6 - $ 69,835 7 - $ 77,751 Each additional person - + $7,916 The total household income is defined as the combined total income shown on line 15000 of the Canada Revenue Agency Notice of Assessment or Notice of Reassessment. Amounts are subject to change.
Application	Your previous year's Notice of Assessment or Notice of Reassessment, water/wastewater account number, and property tax roll number are required. Fill in the online application form, physical copies are also available at Service Barrie (City Hall, 70 Collier St.), see hours Submit your completed form: by email to water.relief@barrie.ca in person to Service Barrie (first floor of City Hall, 70 Collier St) by mail to City of Barrie Finance Department, 70 Collier Street P.O.
