Description (Service) Programs designed to advocate for and to engage and support Older Adults
  • Community Programs/Events: to reduce social isolation; may include Slow Cooker Club, Generations Over Dinner, Everybody's Birthday, GrandPals, Scrabble Club, Friendship Bench
  • Community Resource Consultation: connecting Older Adults to community supports for mental health and addiction services, housing services, employment services, financial assistance and volunteer/social opportunities
  • Volunteer Opportunities: older adults have an opportunity to volunteer to support some programs such as GrandPals, Scrabble Club, Friendship Bench
  • Education/Advocacy Workshops & Presentations: topics include Ageism, Caregiver Resilience, Communication Strategies, Self-care Practices, Mental Health Awareness
