Description (Service)

A municipal, nonprofit, long-term care home, owned and operated by the County of Simcoe. Offers 148 permanent and 2 respite beds. Provides a range of personal care, support and health services

Services are provided by regulated professionals including registered nurses, registered practical nurses, dietitians, therapists, physicians, personal support workers and support personnel

Short-Stay Respite Care: Two short-stay beds for people who have caregivers in need of temporary relief. Offered as available. Short-stay residents have access to the same services as long-stay residents.

Sunset Manor is accredited by Accreditation of Canada and is a member of the Ontario Association of Non-Profit Homes and Services for Seniors.

Program accountability is to the Performance Improvement and Compliance Branch of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
