Description

Description (Service) Serves the Community by providing protection from fire, life threatening emergencies and dangerous conditions through education, prevention, rescue, suppression, basic life support services. Fire stations are not staffed and fire suppression services are delivered by volunteers. Stations are located within Waubaushene, Victoria Harbour, Port McNicoll and there is one on Old Fort Road.The fire department provides public education

  • fire safety programs. 'Fire Prevention Week' events are held in October. Open Fire violations fall under this office and a burning permit is required for an open fire. Fire permits can be purchased online at www.tay.ca or at the Township Office. Smoke alarms are required on every floor of a house or apartment unit and must be maintained by the occupant or owner.
