Description (Service) | Community Networks of Specialized Care - Central East is a partnership of community based organizations that work together to provide professional services, consultations, teaching, education, training and research related activities for adults with developmental disabilities and high support and complex care needs. They help to create a fair, accessible and sustainable system of community-based supports, and works collaboratively with specialized professionals to ensure a seamless and effective system of delivering services that no one agency or organization can provide on its own. For more information call 705-526-0311 ext 323 Programs housed there are: Community Action Program for Children Simcoe County offers six programs - Young Parent Resource Room offers emotional support, practical help and access to basic needs; Young Parent Meal Clubs prepare and share a nutritious meal monthly; Parenting Program teaches parenting skills; Mothercare Next Step Program Programs provide free milk, vitamins and pre & post natal health information and support to pregnant women and mothers of infants and children up to 24 months; Children's Program offers an on site Early Childhood Educator while parents attend programs/drop-ins such as Connect with Your Baby, You and Your Toddler, School Readiness and Talking with Your Child. For information call 705-526-2151 Preschool Services, Community Living Huronia: providing Resource Teachers to children with special needs and their families. For information call 705-527-7022 ext 327 Infant Development Program of Empower Simcoe (formerly Simcoe Community Services) for infants under 3 years identified as likely to be or having developmental delays. For more information call 705-528-6993 Behaviour Management Services, York-Simcoe provides behavioural services to individuals who have a developmental disability with a significant cognitive delay (dual diagnosis). A full range of challenging needs are addressed and include general management, aggression, self injury, skill promotion and social problem solving. For more information call 705-526-2005 Simcoe County Pre-School Service of the Royal Victoria Hospital Preschool Speech and Language Program provides speech and language assessment and treatment services to infants and preschool children. For intake and information call 705-739-5696 Children's Therapy Services of Soldier's Memorial Hospital provides occupational and physical therapy for pre-school children.
