Description (Service) | Lawyers provide immediate legal assistance to low-income individuals who would otherwise be unrepresented and unassisted in the courtroom. Lawyers quickly assess a client's legal situation and provide advice, information and representation. May include:
Duty counsel is available in Provincial Court and Young Offender Court. See separate listing for duty counsel at Family Court Applications for legal aid available by phone Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm 1-800-668-8258. Masks and social distancing are required in office and for appearances. |
