| Description (Service) | Provides free and confidential care to individuals who have experienced sexual assault and/or abuse by an intimate partner.
Our team of specially trained nurses are available on-call 24 hours a day through the Emergency Department at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC) for anyone who has recently been assaulted. Otherwise visits are scheduled in our clinic. All genders are welcome. |

| Application | Recent victims of sexual assault and/or domestic violence are recommended go to the Emergency Department for assessment and medical treatment by an on-call nurse, or call 705-743-2121 ext 0. People who have experienced sexual assault or domestic violence more than two weeks ago are recommended to call the Women's Health Care Centre for an appointment (all genders). If the sexual assault victim is a child, first contact police or Child & Family Protective Services (CAS). They can arrange for a Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner to see the child urgently if needed, or can book an appointment during daytime hours. Contact the nurse on call for the PRHC Sexual Assault program if you have questions or need advice. Both Self-referral and Health Care or Social Services Professional Referral Possible |
