Description (Service) Responsible for accurately assessing and classifying all properties in Ontario in compliance with the Assessment Act and regulations set by the Government of Ontario. MPAC provides municipalities with a range of services, including the preparation of annual assessment rolls used by municipalities to calculate property taxes.  
* Property Assessment Notice mailed every four years to all property owner in Ontario.  
* 2016 Notice reflects the assessed value and classification of your property as of January 1, 2016.  
* MPAC continues to review properties during non-Assessment Update years and notices sent out during non-Assessment Update years reflect changes in ownership, value, classification and/or school support.  
Property owners can visit to learn more about how their property was assessed, see the information on file, and compare it to others in their neighbourhood 
MPAC maintains owner and occupancy information and facilitates municipal enumeration activities. Ontario’s municipal and school board elections take place on Oct 22, 2018. MPAC has the legislative responsibility of producing the Preliminary List of Electors (PLE) for municipal and school board elections. The Preliminary List of Electors is not the Voters' List. Each municipality is responsible for finalizing their Voters’ List.  
It is the responsibility of every elector to make sure their information is up-to-date and accurately reflected for electoral purposes. By logging into, eligible electors can: 
* confirm or update their electoral information; 
* add an elector name to an address; and, 
* change school support.
