Description (Service) The Works and Engineering Department of the Municipality of Port Hope is responsible for:
  • Roads, sidewalks, bridges and culverts, storm and sanitary sewers, ditches, water treatment, traffic signals, and streetlights.
  • Snowplowing and snow removal
  • Garbage and Recycling is the responsibility of the County of Northumberland - Waste Hotline at 1-866-293-8379
  • Engineering and Environmental Services is responsible for all transportation, transit, and traffic related issues
