You can help your community by applying for one of the following committees: 
 
Accessibility Advisory Committee 
Collingwood Heritage Committee 
Museum Advisory Committee 
Trails Advisory Committee 
 
• All members appointed to committees/boards must reside, own or rent property within Collingwood, be a Canadian citizen, and over the age of eighteen. 
 
• The Committee member positions are on a volunteer basis. 
 
• Meeting dates and times are flexible and subject to the availability of the majority of committee members. Advance notice of meetings is provided. The Town of Collingwood now permits electronic participation in committee meetings making it easier/more accessible for committee members to be included in discussion if they cannot make it to a scheduled meeting however electronic participation does not count towards quorum.

Simcoe County Homelessness Enumeration Volunteers   Clearview  Collingwood  Wasaga Beach 
David Busby Centre
Simcoe County, Orillia, Barrie, North Simcoe, South Simcoe, South Georgian Bay
Roles/duties include:  
1. Administering surveys to individuals on the street, in shelters, and at service locations 
2. Administrative support and general assistance at volunteer headquarters 
3. Entering survey data into a database in preparation for analysis and reporting

Electronically file simple tax returns for clients as part of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) * sit one-on-one with clients * training on UFile system offered by the CRA * interact with clients * required to communicate with the CRA if needed * confidentiality of client information * some paper filing may be required

Home for Life South Georgian Bay, Collingwood - Campbell St
Home For Life office and/or individual's home
Assisting seniors who may not have filed a tax return by tax deadline and who do not have the financial means to pay for this help. This volunteer position would be on an 'as needed' and 'when available to assist seniors throughout the year who may have CRA(Canada Revenue Agency) questions. If needed, training could be provided by local professional accounting firm. This volunteer position is not to complete tax returns during tax season.

Home for Life South Georgian Bay, Collingwood - Campbell St
199 Campbell St Collingwood Ontario (former Saunders Bldg)
Volunteer Computer Pal attends regular Senior Learning Cafes(scheduled by Computer Pals) at our offices to assist seniors with technology * Need four volunteers with computer knowledge - two with apple product experience and two with Microsoft experience
Program Assistant, Minds in Motion   Collingwood  Wasaga Beach 
Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County, Barrie Office
Minds in Motion programs will be held in various community locations in most communities in County
Assist with participant pre-evaluations and assessments 
Help with the set up and clean up of refreshments, games and activities 
Assist Minds in Motion Coordinator to ensure activity participation and socialization 
Under direction of the Physical Activity Program Leader, provide one-on-one support to participants during physical activity component of the program 
Assist with any other required task 
Complete a post evaluation form
