The Next Steps Walking Program is seeking Walking Partners! Next Steps serves individuals who have suffered from a stroke & their caregivers by providing them with a safe setting to interact with their peers and engage in physical activity. Next Steps seeks to improve participants’ quality of life. 
 
The Walking Partner is responsible for providing program support to staff and participants. The Walking Partner will assist the coordinator as needed (i.e. set-up and clean-up) in order to ensure the effective delivery of the program. This volunteer will also provide companionship and support to participants by developing positive and encouraging relationships with them, ultimately helping participants to maximize their experience in the program.

Seeking motivated volunteers to help our older adult population with their technology questions. As part of the new Seniors Active Living Centre we are offering older adults the opportunity to seek advice on how to operate their various technologies at home including, but not limited to: cell phones, e-readers, home computers, tablets, lap tops, ipads, email, Microsoft Office and the internet.
Home for Life South Georgian Bay, Collingwood - Campbell St
Home For Life office and/or individual's home
Assisting seniors who may not have filed a tax return by tax deadline and who do not have the financial means to pay for this help. This volunteer position would be on an 'as needed' and 'when available to assist seniors throughout the year who may have CRA(Canada Revenue Agency) questions. If needed, training could be provided by local professional accounting firm. This volunteer position is not to complete tax returns during tax season.
Golden Town Outreach, Meaford, Food Bank
34 Trowbridge St W, Meaford -Bethany Church of the Nazarene (rear enterance, downstairs)
Serve clients who visit the food bank 
Restock shelves 
Check best-before dates, portioning bulk foods 
Optional: help with community garden, cooking classes 
Pick up food from donation boxes at grocery stores and bring to food bank

- Talk about Coffee Break in their community 
- Deliver Kits to Coffee Break Hosts 
- Collect donations and unused supplies following events 
- Sign up new hosts
Canadian Cancer Society, Barrie - Simcoe-Muskoka Community Office
Volunteer a few hours of your time to sell daffodil pins in your community.
