Offers research, information, support, and empowerment to people with disabilities in the Districts of Parry Sound and Muskoka.

Programs include:

• Information and Referral to community programs, workshops, other community agencies, education, employment, housing, recreation and leisure
• Peer Support - weekly peer support group offered hybrid and in person.
  • offers opportunities for individuals with disabilities to share their knowledge and lived experience, develop leadership skills and foster assistance in exercising individual rights and responsibilities
• Creating, producing and distributing the Coffee Break and Chatter Buzz Newsletters (1000 copies) biweekly to over 40 local business in the Parry Sound area
• Button making for all occasions such as family reunions, elections, events

Self-Managed Attendant Services Program:

• Enables individuals with permanent physical disabilities to become employers of their own attendant services
• Helps applicants with pre- and post-interview support, as well as continued support

Resume Writing:

• Staff and/or volunteers assist resume and cover letter

Assistance with Forms:

• Staff or volunteers assist with form completion such as Disability Tax Credit, DF application, Job applications, ODSP applications, etc)
