Blue MountainsThe 12th annual Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance is just around the corner, and we are still looking for volunteers to help make this year's event a success! Join us September 18-20, 2026 for a weekend of world-class automobiles, exciting experiences and exceptional hospitality. Whether you've volunteered with us for years or are joining us for the first time, we'd love to have you on the team. There are various roles available throughout the entire weekend, that are available to be picked up through our link. Commitment:
- A minimum 4–6 hour shift, depending on the role
- A mandatory volunteer orientation meeting will be held before the event.
We value our volunteers and take pride in the event we put on every year. Net proceeds from this event support Sunnybrook and the Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation. To date, Cobble Beach Concours d'Elegance has raised over $1,460,000 for its charities!
We need volunteers to assist at our Cycle For Hope fundraiser, we have a number of volunteer positions that need to be filled:
Volunteer Roles:
1. Set-up and tear down
Role Duties
- Help set up the event site
- Put up tables, tents and banners
- Clean up and put everything away once the ride is complete
2. Registration
Role Duties
- Welcome and register the rider
- Provide rider with appropriate wristband and instruct them to place it on and that it will be used as their lunch voucher after their ride.
3. Route Directions/Nutrition Station
Role Duties:
- Ensure that riders are on the right track and making correct turns
- As Riders approach you, either point or vocalize where they are going and cheer them on!
- Offer fruit and waters that is available for Riders
- When the ride is complete on your way back - do a quick sweep of any riders along the way

Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce is seeking community-minded individuals wishing to volunteer their time as Board of Directors Members or to assist at our promotional or fundraising events as Volunteer Members.
Assist staff to deliver various programs such as crafts, bingo, outings and trips for adults with diverse disabilities. We offer a hybrid approach that involves both in-person programs at our Centre and virtual programs.
- Volunteers tasks:
- Telephone check-ins with our Consumers
- Accompny consumers at programs at the Centre
- Organizational/administrative assistance for our Connecting with Seniors program
- Opportunity to do crafting or recipe videos for our social media outlets
- Other opportunities
- Manage customer inquiries
- Submit order to supplier- 1 week in advance by text message with location and number of boxes
- Ensure only boxes that have been paid for or a token has been received are ordered
- Remind customers of order deadlines 1 week prior to pick up date and pick-up date and time
- Coordinate volunteer packers for delivery day
- Manage the set up of tables to sort and pack produce into boxes, clean up the host site, and disposal of cardboard
- Greet customers and record as boxes are picked up, take any pre-orders for the following month, and record accordingly
- Complete monthly reports and bank deposit/cheque-send report, bank deposit receipt or cheque, any tokens received, and a copy of supplier invoice to United Way by both mail and send a copy/photo by email to food@unitedwaybg.com
- Keep records of orders, pre-orders, and token use
- Promote the program within the community (social media, word of mouth)
- Availability to be on site for delivery day
- Some lifting may be required of produce on delivery day to unload the truck
*Hanover is also in need of a new location (publically accessible building) to run the program.
Space Requirements:
· Access for delivery truck
· Ramps for easy entry
· Open area to pack boxes
· Access for customers to pick up packed boxes
Make a difference in your community by becoming a VON SMART® Exercise and Falls Prevention program volunteer!
The goal of VON’s SMART (Seniors Maintaining Active Roles Together)® Exercise and Falls Prevention program is to enable adults 55+ to maintain independence, improve quality of life and to ultimately promote healthy aging. This functional exercise program can be found in various communities throughout Grey-Bruce.
VON SMART and Falls Prevention classes are led by volunteers who VON trains (2 days of practical plus the theory) and certify. Weekly we offer over 50 Level 1 and Level 2 classes in Grey Bruce with over 1,000 participants! We ask for a minimum commitment of 2 hours a week (one class) but have flexible schedules for those who are away for long periods of time. We are looking for volunteer instructors for both levels of classes.
These classes are offered free of charge to participants within Grey Bruce communities.
Supportive Care volunteers offer social and emotional support to individuals and families living with a life-threatening or life-limiting illness in Grey and Bruce counties (except Bruce Peninsula). Trained hospice volunteers offer support for approximately 2-3 hours per week depending on the needs of the individual and their family, and the availability of volunteers. Respite for family caregivers and companionship to individuals can be offered. Support can be provided in the client’s home, long term care homes and/or hospitals
- Work with a team of volunteers to sort fruits and vegetables into individual orders
- Handle food gently and hygienically, and arrange the boxes for maximum appeal
- Assist with packing site set-up and clean-up
