Ideally the candidate will have their own Mac or Windows computer and software, with experience required with Adobe Suite of products, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. The Event Chair plays an important role in ensuring a smooth and successful event. Your excellent people skills will be needed to develop and maintain relationships with staff, volunteers, sponsors and members of the community, whereas your extensive project management skills will enable you to plan and oversee the event from start to finish.

Marketing/Media Volunteer- We are seeking a Craigleith Heritage Depot Booster to deliver posters/flyers, and to attend outreach events with programme materials. We seek an outgoing person who is comfortable in public settings and representing the site in a welcoming and professional manner. This individual will speak on our behalf to community groups and provide information on our site and its resources. 
 
The Marketing/Media Volunteer will help with all or some of these tasks 
 
• delivery of flyers/brochures and information throughout the South Georgian Bay Area 
• research and seek out new venues for our information 
• attend outreach events as an ambassador for the site 
• speak to community groups to engage interest and use of our resources 
 
The marketing/media volunteer will be provided training on our site and resources. We seek a monthly commitment of a minimum of 2-3 hours any day/evening of the week.
Georgian Good Food Box (The), South Georgian Bay

Volunteer drivers assist with deliveries of food boxes to distribution sites and/or individuals in the surrounding communities.  
 
Volunteers help with packing fruits and vegetables for monthly good food box orders

• Act as a spokesperson in times of disaster and/or respond to local media inquiries  
• Uses provided key messaging to respond in a timely manner to media inquiries as a spokesperson on behalf of the Canadian Red Cross (this may be in times of a large disaster, smaller scale Personal Disaster Assistance responses, proactive media campaigns or other media requests) 
• Positions the Canadian Red Cross as the charity of choice during fundraising appeals 
• When appropriate, connects media with other spokespeople who are content experts within the organization  
• Provides guidance and coaching to other spokespeople on key messaging 
• Supports the Communications Department with media training  
• Proactively pitches story ideas to the media to promote Red Cross services and programs  
• Working with Communications staff for direction, creates proactive media pitches based on activities in the communications calendar and participate in garnering media coverage for Red Cross programs in their region 
• Has a good understanding of the local media environment and topics of interest 
• Contributes to a healthy and safe working environment 
• Performs other duties, as required
Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County, Barrie Office
Meetings will likely take place in Barrie.
1. Collaborate with the Events Coordinator and Walk Planning Team to create a plan for the next Walk for Alzheimer's. 
2. Select one of 14 areas of responsibility on which to focus your time and energy and plan. 
3. Implement plan in a timely manner. 
4. Attend regular planning meetings of the Planning Team to share progress and brainstorm solutions to challenges. 
5. Develop and maintain accurate records and responses to efforts for future events. 
6. Participate on Walk Day and evaluation of Walk Day.
